Actually there isn’t any Art in it but there is an Art of HOW and WHEN to use it.
I am infamous of using it while early year of age.
There was a time, I was using it like adding sugar to a cup of tea where wouldn’t cross my mind before it come out of my mouth. And it was so close to make in involuntary.
Thanks God, I get it managed some how.
Since the working environment has changed, Foul Language begins to regain it importance recently.
Foul words can be classified into two main categories:
1. the “verb/action description” of Foul words
2. the “organ/body part” of Foul words
Here are the main categories of when using it (properly):
1. when people around you use it frequently, try to use some unless you deliberately wanted to send them a message that “I am different from you”,
2. when things get mess up (or at least beyond your expectation) and most importantly you wanted people around to get a message of “you are really pissed off this situation”, try to use some unless to have your emotional status transparent is not your prime objective,
How to use it (properly):
People new to this always messed up the importance in each little Foul word and not to mention their exact meaning.
1. remember the “verb/action description” Foul words carried to highest damage in Foul Language
2. try not to use the “verb/action description” Foul words directly to the person you are talking to i.e. the Object or 2nd Party of the conservation
3. but it is alright to use the “verb/action description” Foul words when describing a situation to a 3rd Party which the Object or 2nd Party relatively remote from the scene of the conservation take place
4. the “organ/body part” Foul words are a good ambassador of any relationship. Actually you could use it whenever you like. Of course, Cantonese do have it’s own set of grammar. Use it right, you got a better chance to express your emotion at a time. But use it wrong doesn’t harm either as it serves the same purpose somehow like “I am pissed” (but at the same time, you are imposing an image of “I used to be a polite person but I am really pissed this time and you know what I mean”). It is all like foreigner whom using Cantonese to express themselves. We normally will go a step further for them (which shouldn’t be actually) and think what they try to express. By doing that, the listener actually gone through a mind process and will leave a longer retention period of this conservation.
5. like any language, the timing and the voice also pay a huge part in expressing yourself which generally the same as in any other formal language. Need not to further express here.
Finally, it is what it is a “FOUL” language is an underground language but it doesn’t means it does not have a value in a society. Bottom line, it serves its purpose, hardly saying anyone in a society serve it purpose; at least as a human being for Christ sake.
p.s. always remember any language is here for communication purpose, there is no point of using any when you are alone or not communicating at all. If this persists, I will strongly suggest for a doctor consultation to straight up the situation, and it beyond the discussion of this topic here.
Come on! What? *&^%$#@^!&(&%$$#@%^&($# Jesus!
